This nugget was created by accident while we were melting and pouring pure gold in a preliminary step to alloying a batch of 14K gold casting material. The nugget measures 15mm wide by 29.8mm high (including the 14K bail), and weighs 19.56 grams (including the .4 gram bail). The back is textured, but flat, so it will sit well against the chest without rolling out of position when worn.
We have tried many times to duplicate this "accident" because the nugget appears closer to a natural configuration than any pattern that we can buy--but no success yet.
